Who is Blue Bell Imports?
Anne-Christine and Jan-Wilhelm Skollsberg opened the doors of their store in Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island, on June 1, 2004.
The demand for quality clogs from Sweden prompted them to develop an online store to service the market with a large variety of clogs and other world famous Swedish products.

Skollsberg's have been a trusted name in business since late 1800. A commitment to service and quality built the Skollsberg reputation in Sweden. This tradition and quality earned them the honor of being official Purveyors to the Royal Court of Sweden. The same dedication to quality is found in all Skollsberg enterprises.
Now in Canada, the Skollsberg family has committed to the same tradition of quality and service.
Skollsberg has now started the company Blue Bell Imports Ltd, to service the North American market with comfortable and quality clogs and other specialty products from Sweden.
History of ClogsClogs; shoes made of wood, sometimes with a piece of leather at the ankle. Clogs where usually made of wood from the Alder, with the assistance of a special tool, and where typical in Sweden for people living on farms in the Skåne and Halland region. From the 18th century, clogs where spread to the central parts of Sweden mostly because of government propaganda on behalf of clog using.
Clogs where used as early as in the ancient Roman civilization and they where also popular in the medieval time, not only in Sweden.
Wooden sandal is a type of shoe with wooden base and leather straps on top. Wooden sandals has been used since the 17th century by certain fields of professions in Sweden, they where again popular in the 20th century and they now also exist in an orthopedically correct design.
The top quality products made by Moheda Toffeln and Båstad Toffeln are traditional clogs, soft inside-clogs and modern sandals.
The leather used in the production of the clogs is cow skin. The type of wood that is used is Swedish birch or alder.
